Following his election as Executive Director of the International Coffee Organisation (ICO) in March 2017, Mr José Dauster Sette undertook his first trip to Côte d’Ivoire during the first week of September 2017.
Accompanied by Mr. Aly Touré, Permanent Representative of Côte d’Ivoire to International Commodity Organisations and Dr Denis Seudieu, Chief Economist at ICO, Mr Sette seized the opportunity of his visit to thank Côte d’Ivoire for its support in the election process and its longstanding contribution to the development of a sustainable world coffee economy.
During his stay, Mr Sette met various officials, namely the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Marcel Amon-Tanoh with whom he also discussed preparations for the 120th session of the International Coffee Council, scheduled later in the month.
