As a commodity dependent country, Côte d’Ivoire encourages the submission of project proposals which are meant to strengthen its numerous agricultural value chains and improve farmers’ livelihoods.
Projects are usually prepared with the assistance of international commodity organisations for the benefit of a group of countries which share the same concerns for a given commodity. They can then be financed by bodies such as the Common Fund for Commodities, the ACP Secretariat, the European Union, the African Development Bank or private donors such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
From a country-focused perspective, Côte d’Ivoire can obtain funding from international cooperation agencies of Germany, the Netherlands or Brazil, amongst others.
